Going through some old media, I found this film I made my freshman year of film school. It was an early attempt at a stylized film noir - shot on a Bolex with 16mm black and white reversal film. The film stars buddies Travis, and Nick. The storytelling is simple, but there is something I still appreciate about the scene at 4:17 starring my grandfather.
Getting some extra miles out of my Halloween costume. Patrick and I came up with the idea of explorers who were excited about discovering things that already existed when we were rowing a canoe at Amanda’s cabin in Connecticut this past summer.
New POV! Voiced and shot by moi, written by Dan and Amir, directed by Sam, produced by Eva.
We spent a long time brainstormed a rotating set idea until eventually just realizing we could have the set be static and move dolly. Thinking bigger makes more sense when you remember to think practically.
Is Gemberling the funniest person on the planet?

“Twilight: Three Wolf Moon,” directed by me. Also written by Dan and Sarah, produced by Eva, shot by Vince, and edited by Matt. We shot this before the SNL sketch. Aubrey was kind enough to interrupt her shooting of “Parks and Rec” in order to do this. John Gemberling absolutely kills it. Digg it.
I’m late to posting this but it’s still one of my favorite videos. I have to share one of the CH commenter’s comments:
Breckles: “women don’t like to be generalized” is itself a generalization
THANK YOU, Breckles.
I may not make a good Dustin Hoffman, but I make a GREAT 11 year old.

Let’s hang.
This was shot with coverage in mind. If this were a real Saw movie, the shoot might have been over a 2-3 day period. We did what we could with 1.

“Saw Shaming,” directed by me. Also written by Amir, produced by Ben, shot by Vince, and edited by Mike. It was fun and challenging trying to replicate the “Saw” aesthetic. Digg it.

Our “underwater camera system” was a 16 Gallon fish tank.

Sims Horror Movie, written by Brian, produced by Eva, shot by Vince, directed by me. I also make a cameo. Can you find me?
Digg it!
