Josh did a bang up job directing the latest POV for Trojan.

joshruben:

POV: Girl Buys Condoms, an ad sales thing I directed for Trojan. Shot by Vince, edited by Matt, produced by Dan. Male version coming soon!

Digg it if you like SAFE sex.

Written by Brian and Conor, produced by Ben, directed and photographed by me.

I met the lead,  Josh Brown, on set for a Time Warner Cable commercial I directed over the summer. I had the actor who almost killed Bruce Willis in “Unbreakable” drop him to the floor about 50 times in a row, so I decided I needed to throw him something easy. Then I came up with the visuals for this music video. I’m sorry for doing it again, Josh.

Day off.

Day off.

Much thanks to a total pro: Miss Erin Crumpacker.
brieflynoted:

Photo from Sunday’s “The Art of Digital Filmmaking: From Production to Distribution” panel at the Bushwick Film Festival.
From left to right, our talented panelists - Lewis Fowler of Untucked Films and CollegeHumor’s Josh Ruben and Vincent Peone.
These guys were incredibly engaging, providing valuable insight on present day film production, storytelling, reaching audiences and the industry exposure that comes with having a strong Web presence.  Well done, fellas!

YES! So excited about this.

I’ve checked out Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, SIFF, MTM, the New York Film Festival, etc., but for the very first time I’ll be participating in the 3rd Annual Bushwick Film Festival in Brooklyn on Sunday.
I find it so cool that Kweighbay Kotee and Laree Ross, two women who love film, created a festival in their neighborhood to provide an eclectic mix of creative “artists, innovators, enthusiasts, whackos, thinkers, do-it-yourselfers, and down right weirdos” as they say, a platform to present their work.
The festival starts tonight at 6 p.m. the Lumenhouse (47 Beaver St., Brooklyn) and a full line-up, which mixes documentaries, narratives, creative shorts and panels can be found here.
I’m going to be moderating a panel on “The Art of Digital Filmmaking: From Production to Distribution” at 7:15 p.m. at Lumenhouse and you may just recognize a few of the panelists…

Josh Ruben, Director/Actor, CollegeHumor/Dutch West
Vincent Peone, Cinematographer, CollegeHumor/DutchWest
Jay Bulger, Director/Actor, Driving with Jay

I really can’t think of a better way to escape the rain than by coming out to Bushwick and watching and talking independent film all day, now can you? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

YES! So excited about this.

Cajun Movie Critic reviews the trailer for INCEPTION

Re: (2:02)

In reality, Jake slays me within the grading system.

samreich:

“Half-Birthday Sex,” a parody of Jeremih’s “Birthday Sex,” directed by me.  Also written by Dan, produced by Eva, shot by Vince, and starring new talent crush Baron Vaughn.  Digg it.
